Abstract

The present thesis includes five chapters and the contents are subdivided into introduction, experimental as well as results and discussion.
Chapter I:
This chapter includes a literature survey for the important studies of Schiff base ligands, their metal complexes, nanoparticles and nanocoordination chemistry.
Chapter II:
This chapter includes a detailed account about the experimental procedures and methods of preparation of Schiff base ligands and their complexes with metal ions [Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II)], also preparation of Cu nanocomplexes. Finally the working procedures and the apparatus (molar conductance, IR, 1H-NMR, UV-Vis, ESR, magnetic susceptibility TGA – DrTGA, Transmission electron microscope image (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) biological, anticancer activity, DNA cleavage, Molecular docking, Molecular modeling , Electrical conductivity) are discussed.
