Health Problems of Mother Deprivated Toddlers
Hadeel Mahmoud Abdelmoaty;
Abstract
Toddlers watch important adults figure out how they should feel and act in certain situations. With adult help, they increasingly learn how to control or regulate their emotions so that they do not overwhelm them. Caregivers can facilitate this learning by naming the toddler's emotions for them. This helps toddlers learn to identify and understand their feelings, which is a big step in the process of self-regulation (Minnis et al., 2013).
