ROOTING THE VALUES OF ISLAMIC SOCIETIES ARCHITECTURE
Bassem Mohamed EL-Sayed Kandel;
Abstract
The Islamic values that are derived from the Holy Quran and the Sunnah obligated us with their principles, This obligation appeared in different perspectives in our life in general and particularly in using Islamic classical models for designs, On the other side, the parametric design has some disadvantages as the unnecessary complexity with abundant information and the difficulties of learning and training. The pioneers of parametric architecture innovated designs based on traditional Arab heritage and the surrounding environment. For doing so, they used Islamic references, implications, relations and ratios. Therefore, this study is divided into two parts; the first part is the theoretical study and the second part is the analytical applied study, which we worked out an applied model (a nursery building) to see the effectiveness of this methodology.
