Abstract


This study aims to investigate the effect of some regimes on obese or diabetic rats. So, it conducted on 88 male albino rats for 6 weeks. The rats were divided into three main groups. The first main group (n=8 rats) was fed on basal diet only, and served as control negative group (C-). While the second main group was suffering from obese and divided into 5 subgroups (n=8 rats/ group). The first subgroups was control positive group (suffering from obesity and not treated). Other four subgroups were suffering from obesity and treated with Zero, Zone, Atkins and Mediterranean (MD) diets respectively. Similarity, the third main group was divided (inducted with diabetes).
