Abstract


The main purposes of this study was to evaluation of tensile bond strength and shear bond strength and study the correlations between pull-off test results and direct shear test results in different study parameters. To achieve this; an experimental study was carried out and documented in details throughout the different chapters of this thesis.
The experimental study carried out in this research involves bonding a fresh concrete layer to a hardened one of 28 days age(different concrete quality ).Different types of bonding agents was applied from 2 company (I, II) available in the Egyptian market and differs in the chemical base. Two different surface roughness techniques were used to prepare the interface. 18 test specimens were prepared using the mechanical roughening technique with change bonding agent type and change concrete quality. 18 test specimens were acid etching roughened as a surface preparation technique of interface.
