Abstract


Mental disabilities have posed a great problem throughout the world that affects all societies as a whole. Due to its highly complex social, medical, psychological and educational components, apart from various unanticipated problem. Mental disabilities are the most common of developmental disorder defined as Intellectual disability, which originates before the age of 18years, is a disability characterized by significant limitations both in intellectual functioning (reasoning, learning, problem solving) and in adaptive behavior covers a range of everyday social and practical skills in communication, self-care, home living, social skills, community use, self-direction, health and safety, functional academics, leisure, and work) American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP), 2017).
Care giving is a normal part of being the parent of a young child, this role takes an on entirely different significance when a child experiences function limitations and possible long-term dependence on everyday living skills. Mentally Challenged condition makes the normal function of children very difficult and leads to dependency on parents. These conditions are increasing day by day due to changing lifestyle and complicated environment.
