Abstract


Child marriage is a marriage of a child under 18 years of age. Worldwide over 60 million girls married before the age of 18. It continues to be a challenge worldwide and especially in southern Asia and Africa. While it affects both sexes, girls are more affected as they are the majority of the victims Child marriage disproportionately affects girls because social and biological factors make them more vulnerable to sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and child bearing complications Babiker, (2016) .
