Study of Cardiac Functions in Children with Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia

Abstract
This study aimed to assess echocardiographic functions in children with congenital adrenal hyperplasia receiving corticosteroid therapy for more than 6 years.
The present study has been conducted on twenty patients with congenital adrenal hyperplasia following up at the pediatric endocrinology clinic of Ain-Shams University Hospitals.
Patients were subjected to a detailed history taking and examination, anthropometric evaluation, Tanner staging, hormonal assay for androgen profile, Karyotyping, molecular study and echocardiographic examination.
