Abstract


A cross-spional descriptive study was conducted on 325
randomly sclceted
faculty members of Sucz Canal University. Their age ranges from 40 to 75 years
Data were collected in the form of filling
questionnaire, general and local
examination, collection of blood sample, and ECG Questionnaire included
personal data (name, sex, age, special habits as smoking, •) ,, history of present
illness (f
present), past history of CHD, and family history of premature £HD
Examination included wight, height, waist'hip ratio, blood pressure, pulse, and
systemic exarnination (heart, chest, and abdominal examination). After fasting ot

was
collected to
estimate fasting plasma glucose, scrum
total cholesterol, LDL-cholesterol, HDL-cholesterol, and triglycerides. Sag,
ECG testing, was done if an individual hati. at least, work factors

resting ECG revealcd nonspecific changes especially with complaint of chest pain,
according o Minessota coding, or symptoms suggcstiv. of CHD. Cardiac
catheterization was done, whenever stress test was positive or definite ECG
