Comparison of the central corneal thickness between a Scheimpflug imaging-based device and an optical measurement-based device
Youssef Wadie Labib Hanna;
Abstract
Central corneal thickness is a critical parameter in corneal evaluation for a wide range of purposes in ophthalmology such as refractive surgeries including LASIK, cataract surgeries to assess endothelial pump function preoperatively to preserve the corneal transparency, and glaucoma in terms of diagnosis, management and follow up to avoid over/underestimation of intraocular pressure due to variations in CCT.
