Abstract


Two field experiments were carried out during two successive summer seasons of (2017 and 2018) at the experimental station of National Research Centre, Al Nubaria district, El-Behira Governorate,
To study the efficiency of irrigation water use by adding hydrogel to cope water scarcity by saving water irrigation quantities to use in expanding another newly reclaimed area and improving the efficiency of fertilizer use by using nanotechnology. Experimental design was a split – split plots in RCBD with three replicates, where the water irrigation regimes occupy the main plots and hydrogel application treatments were randomly in sub-plots, while, NPK chitosan nanoparticles treatments were randomly distributed in sub-sub plots.
Data recorded on growth and yield and its components were collected at various stages of the crop as the follow:
