Abstract
Nowadays, climate change, high population growth, increasing of industrial and agricultural activities, activities, depletion of groundwater reservoirsall of these previous factors together and with non-approved water constructions increasing the gap between the supply and demand water resources.This gap reached to alarming levels posing a threat to human existence in some parts of the world, particularly in arid and semi-arid regions. So, reuse of treated wastewater is become no longer an option but mandatory trend to reduce this gab specially in Egypt, where the total water provided by Nile (main source of water) is about 55.5 BCM per year and the yearly water needed is about 100 BCM.
