Abstract

SUMMARY AND CONCLUSION
The present study aimed to evaluate the changes of the corneal topography after upper eyelid ptosis correction by levator resection using the pentacam system.
The study included 20 eyes of patients. The pentacam computed topography system measures anterior and posterior corneal surface using a single Scheimpflug rotating camera.
They underwent careful history taking, complete ophthalmic examination and investigations by pentacam system preoperatively`, six weeks postoperatively.
This device gives information about the average K1, K2, CYL (power and axis) and CCT.
Correction of ptosis by levator resection decreased K1 and K2 without statistically significant difference
Corneal astigmatism increased without statistically significant difference.
Pachy apex and corneal astigmatism axis showed non-statistically significant difference.
