Abstract

The present dissertation dealt with the development of a

rotating arc plasma jet for the analysis of a microvolume

' .
samples

by their evaporation and introduction of the vapor into the plasma.

Differed experiments configuration are discussed in separate chapters as following:

Chapter I: General introduction is given.

Chapter II:Represent the purposes of the research study.

In chapter III: A new rotating arc plasma for multielement analysis of microvolume biological samples is described. The consideration taken into account in the design and construction of the rotating arc plasma jet and the procedures for the analysis of real biological samples are presented.

In chapter IV: The results obtained indicated that the present system performs with good sensitivity and accuracy in the routine analysis of biological material, operation parameters of arc current and argon flow rate giving highest power of detection and routine operation performance were determined.
