Abstract
Oohthalmolo!rists have been interested in the surgical correction of
•erracnve errors tor over 300 vears. Due to the high risks of ocular surgerv. ooerative technioues for the surgical correction of refractive errors have been slower to develoo. In the last 30 vears refractive surgery nas oecome an accemame anemanve to g1asses or contact lenses for a lame number ofoatients and surgeons.
