Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is the major health problem worldwide. Hemodialysis is the most common method used to treat the advanced and permanent kidney failure. Chronic renal failure is chronic illness that causes significant permanent interference with child's life style, physical, emotional growth and development. It also causes a significant social impact that required effort to be coped.
Pediatric nurse play an important role by involving the pediatric patient as much as possible in their health care decision, informing them of all treatment options and placing an emphasis on self- care. Sometimes nurses fail to adopt modern or recent nursing care for the children undergoing hemodialysis therapy due to the lack of knowledge.
This study aimed to assess role of pediatric nurse regarding children's needs undergoing hemodialysis therapy.
Research questions:
1-What are factors affecting role of pediatric nurse regarding children's needs undergoing hemodialysis therapy?
