Abstract


Loss and grief are a natural part of life and are unavoidable. Children are especially vulnerable and experience greater difficulty than adults in resolving and management ofparental loss. So, parental loss should be avoided at all coasts.
This study was conducted at El-Mowasah Society
for study group, and Mohamed Abdo Primary School for control group.
Aim of the study: .'X,6
The aim of this study wasletermine thie effects of
parental deprivation on the children from 6 to 12 years of life.
Subjects and methods: [/}
The sample comprised bf50 bereaved children in EI-Mowasah Society aged b~tween 6- 12 years old for study group and 50 non-bereaved children from Mohamed Abdo Primary School at the same age & level of education.

The tools of the study were :
Interview questionnaire which coverd the require data which consisted of closed ended questions to assess child's mental outcome, emotional status, social interactions, and motor activities. Psychological abnormalities were determined through using of children depressive inventory scale self-esteem inventory sheet and anxiety scale sheet.
