The Probability of Prostate Cancer Due to Misuse of Mobile Phone

Abstract

The mobile phone is considered an environmental pollutant disseminate in the environment since it emits electromagnetic waves causing hazardous effects on human health. To date, no consistent evidence of adverse health effects has been established. Consequently, the present study was conducted to investigate the impact of mobile phone use on the prostate gland and the oxidant/antioxidants balance in men. This is a self-control prospective study performed on voluntarily apparent healthy men aged between 19 and 38 years; from the same socioeconomic status, after performing a detailed personal, occupational, and medical questionnaire. They were followed for 4 years, and changes in their habits and biochemical parameters were analyzed. These include changes in habits, CBC, prostate tumor marker (total and free PSA) levels, zinc concentration, MDA level, and TAC level. All these tests were measured at the beginning of the study and followed for 2 and 4 years.
