IMPACT OF NANO PARTICLES ON IN VITRO PROPAGATION OF DATE PALM
FARID MOHAMED ROHIM ATIA;
Abstract
This investigation was carried out through three successive years 2015 and 2018 in the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Central laboratory Network, National Research Center, Dokki, Egypt.
In this investigation we studied the activity antimicrobial of nano silver and nano chitosan. The ability of nano silver and nano chitosan after confirm to reduce the microorganism, we decide to using and adding silver nanoparticles (SN) and chitosan nanoparticles to tissue culture media can reduce and remove microorganisms in MS medium and then the explants can growth very well and we try effort to establish an in vitro propagation protocol of date palm cv. Barhee and seedling male by immature inflorescences. However, it was performed through out two experiments:
First Experiment: Impact of silver, chitosan nanoparticles of in vitro propagation of Date palm cv. Barhee and seedling male by using immature inflorescences.
The aim of the present investigation was to develop an in vitro culture protocol for date palm cv. Barhee and male by Inflorescence explants. Inflorescence explants have proved useful in avoiding many constraints that face shoot-tip explants, like high percentage of contamination, browning, and long initiation stage. Inflorescence-based micropropagation holds great potential for the multiplication of individual recalcitrant female and male date palms and cultivars of commercial interest and is particularly useful when offshoot availability is limited. This type of propagation can be accomplished in a short time with minimal effort as compared to the traditional practice of using shoot-tip explants. The effect of nano silver and chitosan, which added to MS medium and soaking of inflorescences explants on contamination percentage and survival percentage, the effect of cytokinin concentration, Fe and Zn nanoparticles in number of subcultures and auxin concentration on regeneration and rooting of date palm cv. Barhee and male plantlets were investigated and the effect of different mixtures of media on plantlet acclimatization has been tested.
