Abstract


n this study we aimed to detect the prevalence of COVID 19 IgG antibodies among 100 of SLE Egyptian patients and it`s relation with SLE disease activity and drug intake regimen. Patients age ranged between 18-60 years old from outpatient clinic and the inpatients of department of Rheumatology at Ain Shams University Hospital
Informed consent was taken from all subjects, all the patients were surely diagnosed with SLE and fulfilled the clinical criteria.
The diagnosis of the studied patients was according to criteria which are published by EULAR and ACR in 2018.
Full History taking emphasizing on SLE disease clinical data.
Thorough clinical examination including general and musculoskeletal system, with special attention to: Oral ulcers, cutaneous lesions, lower limb edema and arthritis
Our study revealed that 91% of SLE patients had positive COVID IgG antibodies while 9%had negative COVID IgG antibodies detected by ELISA 10% of them were confirmed to be COVID positive by PCR.
