Applications of Machine Learning In Smart Wireless Communication Systems

Iman Mohamed Shawky Abdel-Hakim Selim;

Abstract

The thesis consists of seven chapters as follows:
Chapter 1:
Chapter 1 introduces the motivation of this research project. In addition,
it presents the aims and objectives of this thesis, its main contributions
and a brief summary of the thesis organization.
Chapter 2:
Chapter 2 provides the fundamental concepts referred to in this thesis. An
overview of the MIMO antenna technology, with its techniques, and
performance gains are presented. Multi-user MIMO systems advantages
and performance are analyzed.
Chapter 3:
In Chapter 3, the challenges of the multi-user MIMO scheduling design are
clarified. Then, a comprehensive literature review is provided to show
how these challenges are addressed in literature works.
Chapter 4:
In Chapter 4, a new multi-user MIMO scheduling scheme is presented, and
compared to those in literature work. In addition, a system model is
provided for simulation of this scheme. At the end of this chapter, the
computational complexity of multi-user MIMO scheduler is highlighted.
Chapter 5:
Chapter 5 provides an overview about machine learning concepts and
techniques. It briefly expounds the different types of machine learning
models and demonstrates the essential guidelines for developing machine
