Phytogenic feed additives have antioxidant, antimicrobial, growth promoting and immunostimulant impacts in animals and humans. This study investigated the immune response of echincae purparea extract; orguinum vulgaris extract and mix both of them as photobiotic herbal drug .on rats.
In this experiment ,80 adult male rats were assigned into four groups, 20 rat in each group ,the 1st group was kept as control and received no extract in drinking water ,the 2nd group given echincae purparea extract in a dose 300mg/day/bw/rat in drinking water the 3rd group was given ,200mg/day/rat of orguinum vulgaris extract and 4th group given 150mg /day /bw /rat ,of echincae purparea extract and 100mg /day /bw /rat of orguinum vulgaris extract .the herbal extracts given to rats for 15 days in drinking water.
Serum and herpansied blood samples were collected on the 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 12, 15 days following administration of herbal extract the following tests were employed serum total protein ,albumin .and globin proliferative activity, histopathological analysis of spleen, immunohistochemically and morphometric analysis.
The results revealed that there was no statistically significant effect (p> 0.05) on serum total protein, albumin and globin of experimental groups expect increase of albumin level of 2nd group at 7th. Day and 9th day post treatment, also increase of globin level of 4th group at 15th day post treatment of experimental groups.
The lymphocytes profanation activity revealed that group 3 (treated by orignuim extract) and group 4 (treated by echinca and orignuim extracts) was significantly different than group 1 (control). After 15 days of administration
