Clinicopathological Studies on Avian Colibacillosis in Broilers

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the most predominant strain of APEC that caused colibacillosis with respiratory manifestation in broiler chickens in farms located in the Governorates of Giza, Menofia, Bahaira, Dakahliah and Gharbia in Egypt. Isolation and molecular identification of E. coli were performed by bacteriological, biochemical and serological diagnosis. Antibacterial sensitivity test of different types of antibiotics discs, and oregano essential oil at different concentrations against APEC O27 were also investigated.
