Abstract

Echocardiography is used to evaluate cardiac anatomy and function and identify heart issues. It is also used to search for symptoms of heart disorders, such as thrombus, poorly functioning heart valves, heart muscle weakness or compliance.
Severe dypsnic cats or cats under stress are difficult to handle during echocardiographic examination in lateral position.
