Sabry Ibrahim El-Sayed Ahmed Abdallah;
Abstract
the time passed from the onset until return of preblock. movement.
4- The duration of postoperative analgesia is the time passed from the onset until first request for analgesia.
5- Amount of postoperative analgesic requirement.
6- Sedation score
7- Tourniquet discomfort using visual analogue scale.
8- The complications from technique or local anesthetic were recorded.
The results of this study were: •
I- There was no statistically significant difference in demographic data among studied groups.
• There was no significant change in heart rate, mean arterial blood pressure or 02 saturation between the 2 groups.
3- There was no statistical difference in the onset of sensory or motor block in both groups.
4- There was a statistically significant prolongation of the time of return of sensation; postoperative analgesia and motor block in clonidine group.
5- There was significant reduction of the amount of postoperative analgesics in the clonidine group.
6- No difference in sedation scores between the 2 groups.
7- No tourniquet pain was observed in both groups.
8- There is no complications had resulted either from the local anesthetic or the anesthetic technique in the two groups.
