PREPARATION AND EVALUATION OF ANTI-IDIOTYPIC VACCINE AGAINST RINDERPEST VIRUS
FATMA SAYED MOHAMED EL-SAYED;
Abstract
I. The first aim of the present study was the preparation of rinderpest hyperimmune serum. The results of this work revealed the following:
1. TCRPV did not reflect any change in body temperature.
2. The hyperimmunized cattle with TCRPV exhibited good immunity third week post inoculation, where the level of rinderpest neutralizing antibody titre reached its peak 125-175.
3. Concerning the antibody response of hyperimmunized cattle with TCRPV by examining their serum samples by indirect ELISA technique, the highest results exhibited at third week post inoculation where reached
2.50-2.95 l0go.
II. The second aim of this work was the production of RP-ALA either in goats or rabbits and evaluation of this prepared RP-AIA by direct ELISA technique. The results of this work revealed that RP-AIA prepared in goats gave higher values of optical density (OD) than that prepared in rabbits.
III. The third aim of the present study was the studying of the immunological response of RP-ALA in naive cattle. The results of this aim detected that:
1. The inoculated cattle with RP-AIA either prepared in goats or rabbits remained clinically nonnal through the whole period of experiment.
