THE EFFECT OF REHABILATION CLASSROOM’S INTERIOR DESIGN ON THE PSYCHOLOGY OF CHILDREN WITH COCHLEAR IMPLANTATION

Youmna Samy Abdelazim Marzouk;

Abstract

Children with cochlear implantation (CI) are involved in some rehabilitation centers in order to gain experience and to learn what they lack, therefore the interior spaces that these children occupy must be designed in some way to help them concentrate and to avoid any psychological disorders that may occur due to unsuccessful interior design. In this thesis, I will discuss the main problems children with CI face and how to avoid them through the best architectural interior design of the classrooms. Through studies and observing some case studies internationally and locally, a questionnaire has been held to parents, teachers, psychiatrists, doctors, architectural engineers, and acoustics engineers to come up with the best Design Elements and through both the medical and architectural perspectives.
