Evaluation of Retention and Occlusion of a Complete Denture Fabricated using 3D Printed Custom Trays with a Gothic Arch Versus Conventional Method

Abstract
Ten patients were selected from the out-patient clinic of Prosthodontic Department, Faculty of Dentistry, Ain Shams University to evaluate retention and occlusion of complete dentures fabricated using 3D printed custom trays with a gothic arch in less steps versus conventional method.
For each one of the patients two complete dentures will be constructed
• Group I: Complete denture by conventional method.
• Group II: Complete denture using 3D printed custom tray with a gothic arch.
The retention of each denture base was evaluated using digital force gauge while occlusal analysis using T.scan.
Data was statistically analyzed and showed that there was no significant difference between Group I and Group II in the retention. While there was a significant difference between Group I and Group II in occlusal analysis.
