Abstract
The digital video is preferred over analog because it is easier to transmit, access, store and manipulate but a key obstacle is the enormous amount of data required to represent video in digital format. The Video compression is therefore vital for efficient storage and transmission of

The hybrid video coding techniques based on predictive and transform coding are adopted by many video coding standards such as ISO MPEG-1/2, owing to its high compression efficiency.
