Abstract


Tron is essential element for all living cells and plays an important role in many metabolic pathways. With the binding of plasma iron to transferrin (TF). Apotransferrin is changed into a diferric form which can bind to transferrin receptors (TFR) on the cell membranes. Virtually all
cells including reticulocytes, proliferating leukaemic eel I s, acti valed lymphocytes and placental cells, have TFRs on their surfaces.
