Abstract


Neonatal encephalopaihy is an important clinical problem In infants born fuli term and is associated with neonatal mortality and morbidity as well as unfavourable long term neurodevelopmentat outcome . Neonatal encephatopathy is " a clinically defined syndrome of disturbed neurological function in the earliest days of life In the term infant f manifested by difficulty with initiating and maintaining respiration , depression of tone and reflexes r subnormal level of consciousness, and often by seizures
