Maize is one of the most important strategic food cereals. It can plays a major role in decreasing the shortage of gain supply Via expansion in cultivating high yielding single and three way crosses, which have resistance to the main diseases and insect pests affecting maize production. It covers about 1.679 million feddan (one feddan
4200 m) producing up to 5.648 * million tons of grain with an average yield of 24.03 ardabsifeddan (one ardab = 140 kg).
