Assessment of Maternity Nurse’s Knowledge and Performance Regarding Care of Pregnant Women with Systemic lupus

Abstract
ystemic lupus erythematous (SLE), is the most common type of lupus. SLE is an autoimmune disease in which the immune system attacks the tissues, causing widespread inflammation and tissue damage in the affected organs. It can affect the joints, skin, brain, lungs, kidneys, and blood vessels. There is no cure for lupus, but medical interventions and lifestyle changes can help control it.
The study aimed to evaluate the maternity nurse’s knowledge and performance regarding care of pregnant women with Systemic lupus this is aim was achieved through:
• Assessing the level of maternity nurse’s knowledge regarding care of pregnant women with SLE.
• Assessing the level of maternity nurse’s performance regarding care of pregnant women with SLE.
The study design was a descriptive study design that used to conduct at the inpatient department, antenatal clinic as well as rheumatology clinic in the following hospitals divided into two section; Fayoum university hospital and El Nabawy El Mohandes (public hospital in Fayoum).
Data collected started from May 2019 to December 2019. The researcher attended the pre-mentioned study setting 3days per week starting from 9am to 2pm to collect data.
