Surgical and hiStoPatHological, studies on the healing of cystotomy wounds in pet animals
Gamal Ahmed Ali Elsayad;
Abstract
Veterinary literature is very limited on the subject of suture materials and our colleges give little attention to its study; as a consequence the average practitioner's knowledge of the subject is obtained through experience, sometimes with undesirable results.
The importance of suture materials especially the non-reactable ones, nowadays receive a great deal of concern to surgeons allover the world. Since the ideal suture material does not exist, the surgeon must choose materials based on a knowledge of the attributes of those materials and condition of the surgical wound
