Abstract

Using dried sewage sludge on the soil is considered agricultural fertilizers as it affects on physical and chemical properties of soil
thus it affects on soil fuana. •
In this work the ecological impact of dried sewage sludge addition to the soil was assessed by comparing the soil properties and microarthropod population of sewage sludge- treated plots with those of a control adjacent plot. Sludge application was formed at three doses, i.e. 2.66 , 1.33 and 0.66 ton )acre sludge- treated plots.
The environmentalfactors measured were :
a- (physical and chemical) Soil properties: As (PH - moisture - soil texture - temperature - total nitrgen - organic carbon - calcuim carbonat - chloride and total soluble salt %.
b-Soil fauna especially the most abundant arthropods (oribated mits).
A list of 14 oribatid mite species collected from investigated plots at Al Husseinia region Sharkia Governorate is submitted. These species are, Rhysotritia a.ardua, Cosmochthonius retuiculatus, Lohmannia turcmenica, Epilohmannia c.cylindrica, Microzetas aegypticus, Tectocephus sarekensis, Multioppia walsoni, Niloppia sticta, Oppiella nova, Striatoppia niliaca,
