Abstract


This thesis dealt with the synthesis of some fabricated filtration media and their application in water treatment.
The thesis contains three chapters, arranged as follows:
Chapter I: Introduction
The introduction included some scientific heritage belonging to water characteristics, water pollution and water treatment including the following topics:
1. Water treatment process
2. . Membrane filtration.
3. Types of membranes
4. Reverse Osmosis Membranes.
5. Nano-porous Membranes for Water Purification.
6. Types of Nanoporous Membrane.
Chapter II: The experimental work
This chapter included the method of preparing of the PVAc/P.E membrane as well as measurements and experiments that conducted during the work.
Chapter III: Results and Discussion
This chapter discussed the preparation and evaluation of the produced filtration media in the water treatment. Some of valuable parameter in the preparation and characterization were studied and discussed briefly such as:
