Ahmed Mohamed Elsayed Assar;
Abstract
Cervical decompression surgery (anterior or posterior) were performed in 40 patients with cervical spondylotic myelopathy in the neurosurgical departments in Ain Shams University Hospital as well as Kobry Elkobba Armed Forces Hospital from January 2017 till December2020. Anterior approach (anterior cervical discectomy with fusion) and posterior approach (laminectomy with and without lateral mass fixation) were used. We found that both anterior and posterior approaches were successful to treat multilevel CSM.
