Information and communication technologies during the Corona pandemic

Abstract


The importance of distance education has become apparent in light of the Corona pandemic, and all countries of the world have taken precautionary measures. A new term has emerged called hybrid education, which is education that mixes or blends distance education using communication technology and programs, with direct education in classrooms or college auditoriums. Ain Shams University was the first to use this hybrid education because of its importance in times of crises such as the pandemic that we are witnessing now and around the world.
The research consists of:
- The importance of technologies and communication in education and research.
- Software and application package; Such as Teams and Moodle in the educational process, Webex & Zoom.
- Sources of data and information, searching from search engines, accessing official websites, official United Nations data for countries, periodicals, encyclopedias, atlases, field studies, satellites, and obtaining information.
- Preparing and filtering information, taking into account standards and conversions, accuracy in translation, taking into account the time dimension, and taking into account the spatial dimension.
- Applications of modern digital information in the specialty
