Political and economic map of the Nile Basin countries

Abstract
The Nile River has given the region important political, economic, environmental and demographic influences, and peoples have become linked to and affected by the river from periods of drought and floods and control of water by establishing projects aimed at regulating the movement of water according to agricultural seasons.
The river is the primary component of the political map of the Nile Basin countries, and it is known that the river basin is the area of land to which the tributaries and branches of the river flow, and the borders of the basin are formed and end at the water division lines with other basins.
The Nile Basin countries are frequently mentioned and have historical depth, and recent changes have occurred to add the state of South Sudan so that the river basin is shared by eleven countries.
They are from south to north: the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Kenya, Burundi, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Sudan, Eritrea, and Egypt.
The population size of the Nile Basin countries is about 515 million people distributed over eleven countries with an average population size of 47 million people.
The study focuses on a modern set of demographic, economic and social indicators that affect and shape the economic map of the Nile Basin countries. It is possible to conclude the relative weight of the economic map of the Nile Basin countries and the spatial differences between them ( ).
