Abstract


Usage of available commercial fertilizer, in Egyptian local market, in nutrient solution to reduce the in post cost of the system of Nutrient film technique (NFT) inputs has been studied for tow years at the experimental plastic house unit, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shames University, Shobra El-Khima, Cairo, Egypt, tow solution were used (Dokki solution and Cooper solution )in current study and each solutions were formed in two types, first type was formed from pure chemical and the other type was formed from available commercial fertilizer charring together with the pure chemical. Vegetative growth and mineral removal were monitored and discussed. Results showed that the commercial fertilizer could be used as a source of elements required by tomato grown in NFT system.
