Abstract

This work was carried out through 2015 and 2016 seasons on two olive cultivars (Kalamata andManzanillo). Trees were 15 years old, grown in sandy Soil and planted at 5 X 5 meters apart underdrip irrigation system. This investigation aimed to flowering parameters and fruit set of the two olivecultivars. Trees sprayed with concentration of Kaolin and Calcium Carbonate at (3, 5 and 7%) in threedifferent dates (mid October, November and December). Results proved that spraying withAl2Si2O5(OH)4 7% and CaCo3 7% treatments gave the highest number of inflorescences per shoot, number of flowers per inflorescence and sex ratio with good fruit set on mid-December in Kalamatacv. While, Manzanillo cv. gave with the same concentrations on mid-November a good initial andfinal fruit set with lowest fruit drop percentage.
