Abstract

Global agricultural systems are dealing with multiple, previously unheard-of issues in the face of climate change. Nanoengineering is the process of altering matter at scales close to the atomic level to create novel structures. Nanotechnology is broadly applied in the agricultural sector to improve crop growth and yield production. Nanofertilizers explained favorable results in enhancing nutrient uptake efficiency, lowering nutrient loss, and improving crop productivity. Root plant growth regulators, on the other hand, play a key role in regulating plant growth and development by influencing root system style and nutrient uptake. This chapter aims to provide an overview of the current state-of-the-art research on nanofertilizers for root plant growth regulators, including their synthesis, application methods, and mechanisms of nanofertilizer. Additionally, the potential benefits and limitations of their use in agriculture will be discussed, along with the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for their widespread adoption.
