An Analytical Study for Production Costs of Some Agricultural Crops

Abstract

Is confined to study the problem of the sharp rise in the cost of production of agricultural crops as a result of the abolition of input subsidies for crops study and thus higher prices, it is natural that if this increase was not accompanied by the production costs increase similar in both average production per acre and the average unit price of the main product and secondary, so these combined factors are to cover the increase in production costs, it follows that a significant decline in net return per acre, which may adversely affect the productivity and economic efficiency of these crops under study or at least lead to the reluctance of some producers for the cultivation and transport of production used to produce elements to the production of other crops, less costly and more profitable. So study aimed primarily functions estimate production costs and some agricultural crops in Egypt, which was chosen the most important of which (wheat, sugar beet, municipal beans, soybeans). And get the most productive economic indicators and indicators of these crops, as well as to identify the most important problems and obstacles in order to improve the productivity of these crops, and also to identify the most efficient in the production of these crops category, as well as determine the optimal size that unapproachable costs and economic size that maximizes profit in the production The study crops to guide growers and producers of these crops to make the most of their production, through a sample of the agricultural Governorates (Sharkia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Beheira, Minya). The results of the study showed that the economic efficiency differed in terms of the rise and fall of each element of the factors of production at the level of the total study sample and each class of different categories for each crop. And the costs of studying the functions of crops study shows that respondents in different categories possessory produce in the economic phase, which is characterized verification savings capacity as a result of the increasing returns to scale in order to study most of the crops.
