Abstract

Egypt's relationship with the countries of the Arab Gulf Union The idea of Arab integration has become more important now and in the future alike. As the benefit obtained is a common benefit at all levels. On the supply side, “Egypt” will increase the dollar proceeds of agricultural food exports, while on the demand side, “the Gulf Union countries” due to the geographical spatial proximity will affect the reduction in the cost of transporting the ton of imported food commodities. from Egypt . The research aimed to study the current maritime transport models between the Egyptian ports and the ports of the Arab Gulf Union Council countries to arrive at proposed transportation models that are more effective and reduce the unit transportation costs of food commodities of all kinds. The results were as follows: 1- The most economically important export port is the port of Alexandria. While the most importing country from the Gulf Union countries of food commodities was Saudi Arabia, "Jeddah Islamic Port" during the year 2020. 2- The necessity of creating new export opportunities to new markets whose absorptive capacity for “fresh, semi-finished, finished” food commodities, is not less than about 46.6, 23.4, 10.8 tons, respectively, which is the resulting surplus and required from the Egyptian port of Alexandria. The research suggests that the surplus should reach For “raw” fresh goods to Saudi Arabia, and the surplus of both semi-manufactured and finished food goods to Iraq, this is because they are the most absorbing countries for those products during the year 2020.
