Abstract
By studying for Egypt's exports of agricultural crops in the fresh image from global markets, called it the need to search to find some solutions and proposals, foremost of which is studying the possibility of increasing its exports of those agricultural products on global markets in the frozen image-frozen vegetables, particularly, which found that there is fluctuation in the amount of exports to the world market during the study period, but this targeted search functions generally estimate global demand of statistical frozen vegetables. Main findings of present study are:
1-Studying the functions of world demand of frozen vegetables, and studying its the cross and price elasticity, which is estimated at -0.5 means that the frozen vegetables is very necessary commodities for the consumer global, and explain the value of cross demand elasticity that estimated at 0.5, that explain that the most competitive countries of China as a nation exporter of frozen vegetables in the world is Poland.
2-By studying the geographical distribution of Egypt exports for frozen vegetables distributed in the most importing countries have found that Saudi Arabia is the first in the world's largest importers of Egyptian frozen vegetables, which contributes about 23.25% of the total Import world Egyptian frozen vegetables, then comes Italy in second ranking where contribution amounted to about 11.30% of the then UAE comes in third ranking at a rate of about 9.53%, while the United States came in fourth ranking with contribution rate of about 7.41%, while Kuwait came in fifth ranking at a rate of approximately 7.29% of the total Imports world for vegetables Egyptian frozen, including representing the percentage contribution of about 60% of Egypt's total exports of frozen vegetables during the period (2007-2013)
3-Also shows cross and price elasticities of demand for frozen vegetables Egyptian frozen vegetables Egyptian results are considered goods have alternatives in export to these countries fresh as vegetables, as the value of the elasticity of demand cross elasticities show that the most competitive countries of China as an exporter of frozen vegetables to Saudi Arabia and Italy, the UAE, Kuwait and the United States is Egypt 4-The world frozen vegetable export market is an oligopoly market, which Exporting price for each of China, Poland, Belgium and spain respectively, led by China's price controls despite the fact that Belgium is the first in the world that exports of frozen vegetables, and this may be due to the awareness of the full China and study extensive to the requirements of each importer market frozen vegetables separately, so in terms of capacity to the market importing them, and also the item price issued by, commensurate with the global quality requirements appropriate degree, and that would make them desirable commodity in world consumer tastes, then as shown above, China was able to have a comparative advantage in the export of frozen vegetables to the most important imported from it, and this at a global level, while controls. exporting price of both China and Egypt in the Egyptian frozen vegetable export market for the main importing markets than prices, which requires from Egypt at the developed for its export of frozen vegetables for the main importing markets it to bear in mind the price policy for China, because this measure would be reflected on the Egyptian foreign trade policy performance in the export of frozen vegetables to the most important import markets in the world, and this is an attempt to apply for positions higher in the export of vegetables frozen global markets, and so insistent them to achieve high levels of exports of frozen vegetables, which is achieved by trying to reach the Chinese price levels.
