An Economic Study of the Impact of Crises and Risks on Egyptian Plant Production

Abstract


The results showed the impact of risks and crises on the field of plant production that small holdings were affected more than large holdings. The impact of risks on the size of agricultural holdings less than five feddans was shown by about 10%, 7%, 12%, for the governorates of Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, Beni Suef, out of the total Sample size for holdings of less than five feddans. The impact of risks on the requirements of agricultural production was shown, as it reached about 25%, 8%, and 13% for the governorates of Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Beni Suef, while the impact on the production stage was estimated at about 25.13%, 10.5, 17.5% for the governorates of Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh, and Beni Suef. The impact on the marketing stage and prices was estimated at 37%, 25%, and 16.5% for the governorates of Gharbia, Kafr El-Sheikh and Beni Suef out of the total sample size.
