Abstract


Many countries of the world interested in developing their educational systems, and providing students with new skills that fit the skills required for the twenty-first century, which led to a new and advanced education system, called 2.0 Education System, which was adopted by many countries of the world, and to implement this new system effectively, educational institutions need to manage the core competencies that are concerned with developing those competencies that represent a strategic human force that possesses many distinguished knowledge and skills in the practice of various activities, whether academic, organizational, technical and others, which may contribute to achieving the desired goals of the 2.0 Education System.
The study aimed to the following:
1- Define the concept of core competencies management, and its distinctive features.
2- Determine the basic components for achieving the core competencies management in educational institutions.
3- Study the 2.0 Education System and the difference between it and the 1.0 Education System.
4- Identify the characteristics of the 2.0 Education System in Egypt and how to implement it.
5- Analyzing the reality of the 2.0 Education System in Egyptian schools in the light of educational literature using the fishbone diagram.
6- Present recommendations and proposed procedural mechanisms to improve the 2.0 Education System in Egyptian schools in the light of core competencies management.
