Abstract


The third millennium is witnessing many global challenges that have led to an intensification of competition between different work institutions. Universities are among the educational institutions that are affected by those challenges and changes that occur in their external environment, and which work to keep pace with them, take advantage of available opportunities and avoid potential threats as much as possible, by developing Its institutional performance is constantly, which requires the adoption of modern and advanced strategies that keep pace with the changes taking place, such as the Blue Ocean Strategy, which is a competitive strategy that encourages radical innovation in providing new things that others have not presented before, and depends on creativity, innovation and searching for new ideas to achieve value innovation in new products and services offered.

The study aimed to the following:
1- Define the concept of institutional performance, and determining the levels of its development in universities.
2- Study the components of developing institutional performance at Egyptian universities.
3- Identify the theoretical foundations of the blue ocean strategy in universities.
4- Determine the basic principles for preparing the blue ocean strategy at Egyptian universities.
5- Present requirements for developing the institutional performance in Egyptian universities in the light of blue ocean strategy dimensions.
