Pre-school Education in the Baltic States and Egypt: A Comparative Study

Abstract

The Baltic States - Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania - are situated to the north-east of Europe. Each has a number of distinctive ideas that are related to pre-school education; notably, the attempt to expand this kind of education so as to reach every child between 1-7 years of age. The research has in fact one major aim; that is, the possibility of making use of some of the experiments made by the Baltic states, especially in the field of administration and finance, availability and quality assurance, admittance and grouping, curriculum and methods of learning as well as the education and training of teachers. تقع دول البلطيق – إستونيا ولاتفيا وليتوانيا- في الشمال الشرقي من أوروبا، ولكل من هذه الدول عدد من الأفكار المتميزة في تربية طفل ما قبل المدرسة، وذلك حتى تصل هذه النوعية من التربية لجميع الأطفال بين عمر 1-7 سنوات وهو ما يظهر بصورة واضحة في نسبة الاستيعاب العالية بهذه الدول، ويتناول هذا البحث عدداً من المحاور الأساسية وهي الإدارة والتمويل، والاتاحة والجودة، والقبول وتنظيم المجموعات، والمنهج وطرق التعلم، وإعداد وتدريب المعلم، وينتهي بتقديم تصور مقترح يناقش إمكانية الاستفادة من تجارب دول البلطيق بما يتفق مع الواقع الموجود برياض الأطفال داخل مصر.
