Quality of Work Life in the Institutions of Child Culture in Egypt

Abstract

This research suggests eight criteria to deal with the quality of work life in the institutions of child culture: management style, job characteristics, organizational climate, job security, training and capacity development, fair compensation, physical work environment and home work interface. The field study is made in all the institutions of child culture in Cairo, namely, the General Administration for Child Culture, the General Administration for Specialized Palaces, the National Center for Child Culture, the Child Palace at Zinhum, the Specialized Child Palace at Garden City and the Child Cultural Park at Sayedda Zeineb. The results reveal a number of negative indicators that affect the Quality of Work Life: poor incentives, the lack of procedural justice and job insecurity, among other things. يقترح هذا البحث ثمانية معايير للتحقق من جودة الحياة الوظيفية بمؤسسات ثقافة الطفل، وهذه المعايير هي : (أسلوب الإدارة – مواصفات العمل – الاستقرار الوظيفي – التدريب وتنمية القدرات – نظام الحوافز والتعويضات – بيئة العمل المادية – التوازن بين مسئوليات العمل والعائلة)، وتجري الدراسة الميدانية بجميع المؤسسات المعنية بثقافة طفل ما قبل المدرسة بالقاهرة، وهي الإدارة العامة لثقافة الطفل، والإدارة العامة للقصور المتخصصة، والمركز القومي لثقافة الطفل، وقصر طفل شهداء يناير بزينهم، وقصر الطفل المتخصص بجاردن سيتي، والحديقة الثقافية للطفل بالسيدة زينب، وتكشف نتائج الدراسة الميدانية وجود بعض المؤشرات السلبية التي تؤثر على جودة الحياة الوظيفية بمؤسسات ثقافة الطفل ومنها عدم تناسب طبيعة المهام مع التخصص، وعدم العدالة في الممارسات والاجراءات المنظمة، وعدم الاحساس بالأمان الوظيفي، وغير ذلك من معاييرتتعلق بجودة الحياة الوظيفية.
